Please call (845) 247-7155 by May 1, 2012 to reserve a table. Club Table - if you have only a few things to sell they can be dropped off at the "Club Table". Club members will sell the item(s) for you. 10% of the sale price will be kept by the club up to a maximum of $10.00. Lunch will be available for purchase. This event qualifies as a "gun show" per NY State law. All firearms sold to individuals MUST be NICS checked. A FFL dealer will be available to do this for a nominal fee. NO exceptions to this rule.

an Open Event
at SFGC!
Steel Handgun Shoot at Saugerties Fish & Game Club - This event is open to all, both members and non-members. No pre-registration required, Sign up begins at 9:30 AM and remains open throughout the event. (Shooting begins at 10 AM.) This is a shoot in the style of Steel Challenge. It will be one stage that can be shot as many times as the shooter wants. There will be 5 divisions recognized and anyone can shoot in any combination of divisions. Initial registration is $5 and every additional turn would be $2 thereafter. Bring suitable number of rounds of ammo. I ask that you arrive with your handgun un-loaded and in a holster or bag. If you have any questions call Gus at (845) 389-3980. Feel free to spread the word to anyone who can legally posses a handgun in upstate New York.

Must be 12-15 years old and have hunting license and parent and/or guardian present.

The Federation will select up to 15 applicants by random drawing. The applicant will be notified by phone and must be available to participate for this hunt on Sep. 29, 2012. In order to participate, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the event. The applicant needs to possess a hunting license and must sign a waiver at the sign in. You cannot bring your own firearm. Firearms, ammunition, shooting glasses, ear protection, vest, lunch and refreshments will be furnished by the Federation. Selected applicants should have some prior experience with a shotgun but firearm instructors will be present. Turkey Shoot at South Side Rod & Gun - South Side's annual Turkey Shoot is held on the last Sunday of September - rain or shine. Shooters have a variety of events to choose from which include: archery, running deer, trap, 100 yd. bench rest, shotgun luck shoot, pistol, shotgun slug, and 40 yd. 22 cal. rifle. (If enough competitors are present, a black powder shoot at 40 yds. will be arranged.)
Eight to twelve individuals typically compete with each shoot. Winners are awarded a frozen turkey except for trap where game hens are the prize.
There is a fee per event. Festivities begin at noon until dusk.
Food is available at the snack bar.
Firearm safety is strictly enforced. Spectators are welcome - make it a family day. High powered rifle - Shotgun slug - .22 Rifle
