You can buy and sell old handguns, rifles, magazines, scopes, fishing items, gun tools, carry cases, antique firearms, ammo cans, gun slings, camo items, targets, ropes, cables, hunting boots, gear or anything outdoor sports. Come and sell you unwanted items and purchase some new treasures. There will be loads of great stuff at great prices. Items for sale are limited to outdoor related items only. This event qualifies as a "gun show" per NY State law. All firearms sold to individuals MUST be NICS checked. A FFL dealer will be available to perform NICS checks for a nominal fee. NO exceptions to this rule.

This event is for both children and parents to learn all about firearms and how to handle them both safely and responsibly. The day will conclude with an opportunity to use real firearms on South Side's firing range. (Please note that you must attend the morning SAFETY session in order to participate in the range time.)
Due to state laws, students under the age of twelve cannot handle regular firearms. Laser guns and air guns will be available for their use.

9:00 AM to 9:45 AM - Registration
9:45 AM to 10:00 AM - Orientation and Welcome
10:00 AM to 11:45 AM - Safe firearms handling and types of firearms
11:45 AM to 1:00 PM - Lunch
1:00 PM to 3:00 PM - Range time (You must attend the morning SAFETY session in order to participate in the range time.)
3:00 PM to 3:20 PM - Handing out of Certificates

Women Unafraid - A Day at the Range at South Side Rod & Gun Club 42 Baker Rd, West Hurley
You are encouraged to bring your daughters and other women who may be interested. Please note that attendees under the age of twelve cannot use firearms. Air guns and laser guns will be available for their use.
Itinerary:
9:00 AM to 9:30 AM - Coffee, meet and greet
9:30 AM to 10:45 AM - Types of firearms, safe gun handling, shooting positions (This will be a combination of classroom time and hands-on experience. Breaks will be scheduled throughout this session.)
11:00 AM to 11:45 AM - Lunch
11:45 AM to 1:30 PM - Range time (Range time is optional, available for those interested. The morning session must be attended in order to participate in the range time.)
Note: This time is to familiarize yourself with your own firearms and get comfortable with them safely. Attendees should bring their own unloaded firearms and ammunition. There will be some range guns to try if you don't have one of your own. Also bring snacks for breaks. Lunch will be provided. Soda is available for $.50 at the club.

Must be 12-15 years old and have hunting license and parent and/or guardian present.

The Federation will select up to 15 applicants by random drawing. The applicant will be notified by phone and must be available to participate for this hunt on Sep. 27, 2014. In order to participate, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the event. The applicant needs to possess a hunting license and must sign a waiver at the sign in. You cannot bring your own firearm. Firearms, ammunition, shooting glasses, ear protection, vest, lunch and refreshments will be furnished by the Federation. Selected applicants should have some prior experience with a shotgun but firearm instructors will be present.
